Stephen Wood combines nearly two decades of aviation experience with a passion for research, valuation, and market intelligence. Since entering the aviation industry in 2007, he has built a reputation for analytical rigor, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of aircraft values and market dynamics. As an Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA), Stephen provides independent aircraft valuation and appraisal services supported by comprehensive market analysis and real-world transaction experience. His work helps clients make informed decisions regarding acquisitions, sales, financing, tax planning, insurance matters, and ownership strategy. In addition to his appraisal expertise, Stephen serves as The Dyer Group’s lead market research analyst. He is a founding member and Leadership Committee member of the Aircraft Researchers Group, a widely respected industry organization owned by Aviation International News (AIN) that brings together aircraft research professionals from leading aviation sales organizations worldwide. Through this role, Stephen remains at the forefront of aircraft market intelligence, valuation trends and transaction data. Stephen holds a degree in Public Relations and Print Journalism, a background that has shaped his analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills throughout his career. His ability to distill complex information and build trusted relationships contributes to a smooth and effective transaction process for clients and industry partners alike. Outside of aviation, Stephen coaches soccer and is an accomplished guitarist and singer-songwriter who applies the same discipline, attention to detail and creativity to his full-time profession, coaching, and music. At The Dyer Group, Stephen leads the firm’s market research efforts and plays a central role in aircraft valuation, market intelligence and transaction support across nearly every aspect of the business.
